| 3 Year Plan
It's important to know that our three year plan is not cast in stone. As part of our planning and application process, we developed a rough three year plan that would guide us through the lengthy start-up process. This plan and timeline will be modified as needed based upon future events such as a substantial contribution of land or money, awarded grants, etc.
YEAR 1:
Goal: Achieve 501(c)(3) non-profit status and continue to develop the organization
Fundraising Goal: Raise $10,000 through private donations and grants.
- Complete legal applications
- Open checking account
- Hire CPA
- Develop and implement Public Relations campaign
- Develop and implement Fund Raising program
- Prepare and submit grant applications
YEAR 2:
Goal: Acquire at least 2 acres of land and initiate plans for first housing project
Fundraising Goal: Raise $200,000 through private donations and grants.
- Continue fund raising campaigns
- Continue grant applications
- Implement land procurement campaign
- Recruit and hire Executive Director
- Acquire office space
- Develop plans for first housing project: land development and house designs
- Solicit bids for out-sourced work
- Initiate property development for first project
- Begin selection/qualification process for home-buyers
- Prepare and submit grant applications
YEAR 3:
Goal: Build at least 6 homes and sell to qualified buyers
Fundraising Goal: Raise $300,000 through private donations and grants. Home Sales Revenue Goal: $400,000
- Continue fund raising campaigns
- Continue grant applications
- Contract with sub-contractors
- Select potential home owners
- Construct homes
- Turn homes over to qualified buyers
- Begin development plans for next housing project
